Sweep Incumbents Out In 2010

You want real change?

Let's start with Congress. There is enough blame to go around. Republicans have spent us into deficit. Democrats took the reins promising an energy policy(and lower gas prices). We see how that has worked out for us.

So when you go to the polls this November, don't look for the (R) or the (D).

Look for the (i)ncumbent. Then vote for the other person.

When we have swept clean the people's house, real change can occur. If not, we sweep it again in two years.

  1. I agree -- let's send Washington a strong message that it's no longer business as usual!! We cut gas consumption, let's cut them off too.

  2. I'm going to do my part. The professional politicians count on keeping us divided with the two party system, but we have to realize that they are the true enemy of the people, regardless of political affiliation.

  3. And I will do my part; I will vote against all Incumbents.

It will be easy to do on the State and Federal Congressional levels, but how about the Presidential candidates? Vote out the standing party's candidate?

  5. Term-Limits are the only solution to correcting our democratic process. Voting against the incumbents is the next best thing to Term-Limits.

  6. In other words, if there is no incumbent candidate, vote out the incumbent party.

I want term-limits and this is how I will make it happen.

  7. Incumbents and their desire to get re-rlected are the reason we're in this financial mess. They love to spend money on programs to make them popular, and hate to raise the taxes necessary for them, because raising taxes is not the way to get re-elected, so the deficit goes up and up. Now they want to borrow another 700 Billion from China, because they know that if they don't, a bad recession will result on their watch, decreasing their chances of re-election. Almost no-one is for this bailout, and we'll probably have a bad recession anyway, the only difference is our grandchildren will be paying interest on this loan for decades. No taxation without representation! Vote them out, or throw them out!

  8. Congress members don’t understand; Americans are going to term-limit the U.S. Congress this Fall. It is time for all NEW faces in the U.S. Congress.

  9. Congressmen can vote against the $700 Billion package if they want, but it doesn’t matter. All of them got us into this mess; time to clean house, VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS.

  10. As for the bailout, they will do anything to keep their golden jobs in congress. Like the greedy bankers, they will throw the American voters to the wolves to keep their jobs. Lets send them a message, throw them all out.

  11. The bailout has gone from a 4-page bill, to a 90-page bill, to now a 400-page lobbyists' earmark packed bill. What a disgraceful display of your congressmen true values.

Time for all incumbent Democrats and Republicans to go.

  12. Wall Street is saving Main Street by letting us bail them out. This has got to be the Greatest Con Game in history.

  13. The only way to get term-limits is to vote the incumbents out every year. Let's start the process now.

  14. Why should we vote them out?

If we want a loan for a car, we go to our government owned bank and they will give us a loan to buy a car from the government owned car company.

We buy a car from ourselves and pay ourselves back. Is this NEW country great or isn't it?

  15. Start replacing Congress now. It is time to start over as time limits will never happen.

Congress gave AIG $80 billion to keep it solvent. One week later, AIG sent their top people on a trip that cost us (as in U.S.), $400,000. That was spent in one week. Last week, we gave AIG another $35 billion.

Enough is enough! All of Congress needs to be replaced; All of them.

We can start next month. We can fire all the House and one-third of the Senate. Within four years, we can replace the rest of the Senate.

We need term limits on all of Congress but it would take too long to do it the amendment way. But we can do it with our votes over the next four years.

  18. I am a veteran of Viet Nam in our U.S. Naval Aviation. I, later, served in the Army National Guard. I swore an oath twice to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC". I still today take that oath very seriously. I believe the current congress and White House qualify as domestic enemies of the Constitution. I am too old for combat. But, the pen is mightier than the sword. And, our votes, granted by our founding fathers, are the most effective weapon we now have to defeat the Constitutional enemies in Washington today.

  19. Certainly vote out the incumbents. But also do some homework and choose a candidate that is not even worse than what we have now! If people did not vote based on their race, pocket book, or emotional hatred America would be a much better place. Just dreaming.
